Set a regular time and media for the virtual meeting. Zoom, Google Docs, or other services are available free.
Meetings are usually 1 hour or longer by agreement.
The EC policy is that there be no fee so no one is excluded for lack of money. Unsolicited volunteer donations are acceptable if money is required for cause such as distributing an educational flyer. The EC guarantees it will not charge fees.
Send notices (reminders) to regular members before each meeting. If available, the topic and recommended study materials may be included here.
Members agree to respect confidentiality regarding personal sharse in the group
Guidelines for Members
Speak to the topic.
Speak for up to 2 minutes; speak multiple times if you like.
No cross talk. There is no right or wrong, no winner or loser. Respect others even if you have other views.
Relate the topic to your own personal life to get the most out of the meeting.
The goal is to co-create solutions to life’s challenges and important issues; not personal therapy.
By agreement, any member may serve as a facilitator/sponsor for specific meetings
Guidelines for Facilitators/Sponsors
Select the wisdom, universal skill, or puzzle to be the topic.
Review the guidelines and set the topic; usually 2-15 minutes
Oversee the discussion to honor the guidelines. If necessary, ask members to raise hands to be called on.
Cover the EC curriculum content, viz. the 7plus2 Formula, until the basic skills are common knowledge. Thereafter have members introduce a topic of their own choosing or repeat basic skills.
Send out invitations before each meeting and offer suggestion for content to review where indicated.
We suggest meetings be recorded and made available for future use by members.
Attend support meetings for facilitators/sponsors offered by the EC when available.
